A daredevil of a performer that does things her way – sliding across table tops & rocking electrifying showstoppers, strutting down catwalks and swinging from ceilings, on top of a bus or suspended over water, setting the sky ablaze with her laser violin or partying up a storm with her dancers – Caitlin is an electric violinist uniquely identified by her unstoppable energy and pure uninhibited passion.

Born and raised in Kitwe, Zambia, Caitlin has never been seriously classically trained but her place is undoubtedly on the stage with her electric violin. Her live performance is an all-round entertainment experience with a repertoire focused around show pieces; hard-dance remixes of recognizable classics; rock anthems and crowd-pleasing classical-pop.

It’s clear to all who see her that Caitlin lives for the spotlight, she flaunts the meaning of ‘electric’ and doesn’t just play electric violin, a trait that makes her stand out time and time again. Distortion, harmonizers and other special effects coupled with a wild stage-presence makes for a truly ‘electrifying’ show – and she wouldn’t have it any other way.

Caitlin aims for rock star status, she’s slowly pushing boundaries and has experimented in the fields of ska, psy-trance, hip-hop, rock, pop and electro. She has performed with some of the most renowned musicians on the South African and International music circuits including Hugh Masekela, the Soweto String Quartet, Watershed, Chris Chameleon, Claire Johnston, Mduduzi Magwaza and Jeff Maluleke.
